For the week of June 6-10

Hello!

This past week was fairly busy; between guest presentations on Peer Relations, the University VR development team, and our Human Sexuality lessons, it felt like we barely had any time for "typical" lessons. However, the students did get to continue with our Opinion Writing unit, practicing developing opinions about items in their collections. They also continued with Book Clubs, and we managed to squeeze in a Science lesson as well.

Some notes on our Learning this week:

Writing

  • Opinion Writing - the parts of a good argument/judgement

Reading

  • Collaborative Literacy Groups (this is the last week!)
  • Book Clubs

Math

  • Buckle down for the final push. Many students are working towards the advanced level skills and understandings from our grade 4 math program. Others are continuing to work towards mastering the foundational and intermediate level outcomes.

Science

  • Plant Growth and Changes

Notes for next week:

  • nothing special going on!

Thanks for reading!

Mr. V
